Touring around Auckland

On Mount.Eden, a dead volcano. It's really high up there! You won't want to fall into the crater, trust me, it's really deep!

Acacia Cottage, Cornwall Park. See my thick clothes. New Zealanders can dress in shorts and tank tops.. Well, you can tell I come from a tropical island, right? It must be around 15 degress celcius or lower! Imagine the strong wind blowing at us at that time!!!!!

A wealthy pioneer donated his land to serve as a park to the public. Look at his house!!! It had the 18/19th century furniture, clothes and other items in it, but I couldn't get a shot as they were show-cased. The cottage is really small and low!

Cafe in Cornwall Park.

On the top at One tree Hill, Cornwall Park. The above is a memorial which is erected to show respect for the native Maoris.

At the top of One Tree Hill, overlooking the city and the opposite island. Believe me, it's much more breath-taking compared to this photo....
More photos! Auckland

A couple painting a mural on the wall outside a convenience store.Incredibly nice! They even painted their car!
(Hillsbourough, Auckland)

This is the Civic Theatre in the City.(Auckland)Look a the sky! The colours are so nice!

Back from Genting Highlands

Lol,
Seems to me that I've been travelling alot in the holidays. My brother was supposed to go Genting but his passport expired... so Mum asked my (youngest)sister and I whether we wanted to go there. In the end, my sister didn't wanna go coz of her choir practice so I had to go. But it was fun... the ride was quite thrilling. I went there with my cousins who are much younger than me. OMG! We tried the Solero shots ride where you are raised to quite a few storeys above ground and then they suddenly let you descend to half the height... My butt was practically flying off the seat. Then they raise you up a little and let you fall down again before you get to leave. Hehe~ super shiok! We went on to the rollercoaster ride which was absolutely shiok!!!!! Also, we tried a new ride where you lie down face down in your seat and the gates close behind you. Then you get raised up to a few storeys high and like a rollercoaster, they let you descend and turn 360 degrees etc. It was fun, but not as thrilling as the one I mentioned above. That ride requires you to pay for the ticket besides the outdoor park ticket. Well, RM $10. NOt very expensive but not cheap either. My relatives got so many discount coupons~ I paid like 75% of the normal cost of the outdoor park admission which is originally RM$34. We went to the cinema there to watch Madagascar. The ticket costs RM$10 but there was an uncle who gave out discount coupons so we had to pay like only RM$8 per ticket. Although the sound effects were not as good as that in our local cinemas, I think it was worth the money anywayz since we are not watching any major blockbuster movies. The food there quite expensive. I bought a small sirloin steak (RM$16) and it was so hard to chew.... >.< my teeth almost came out. But while I was chewing, I saw a guy who looked familar. It was that actor from the NKF drama series in which he fell in love with Joanne Peh. You know, that ah beng who looked so cute but when he opens his mouth to talk, you get disappointed. Oopz... overall he's quite cute. ^^
After GEnting, we went to Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown to buy some stuff. The stuff there quite cheap, but the quality is not as good as that I've expected. >.< I went there to buy a pair of adidas shoes (RM$45). Then I bought a kitty bolster (RM$19.95) and some T-shirts(RM$13 each). Actually I wanted to buy some more stuff but then, no time leh~~~~ Sobz.... Maybe next time ~
I'm back~~~~

Hey pplez, I'm back from New Zealand! Finally, a month has passed.Miss me? Well, I sure miss Singapore food and everyone, of course^^. I ate so well over there that I think I've gained a few Kgs there! Hehe~ Muz lose weight you know....
It was quite relaxing over there, the air is fresh and the people there are quite friendly. I think there are alot of Chinese living in New Zealand, coz I keep seeing them around. Hmmm~ I saw alot of sheeps and cows but I can't hug them coz they're so stinky. Oopz.... Haha~ For the last 2 weeks of my travel, I went to a church training centre and met many friends from different parts of the globe: Taiwan, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand etc. It was fun there! The food was so delicious, I think I gained weight over there. The chef is a kiwi(New Zealander) and whips up fantastic food and I love her desserts! There was this cake called lemontin( I think should be spelled like this) and it'sgot icing... so yummy! And there was a chocolate pie with marshmallows and a camerel pie(Drooling now..). I love her pumpkin soup and the beef dishes... Absolutely magnific! Well, I guess the food's healthy over there coz I go to the toilet daily over there to do you-know-what. Haha~ The salads are yummy, even the curry and udon that she cooked was delicious! Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays are dessert days. Oh ya, I went around for (young people) group meetings at a sister's house and she can really cook too.... BBQ chicken wings, beef sphagetti, banana cake >.< I totally dig the banana cake!!!! Ok, I should stop talking about food lest all of us get hungry(again).
Oh... there are many Koreans in the training, I found that the guys are sort of like chavunistic.... But, they are cute.
I took a group photo with my team and there are 2 korean guys in it. Haha~ Any takers? My team consists of a kiwi lady, a Japanese gal, a korean gal, 2 korean guys, a couple from Australia( I think), a guy from Australia, 2 gals from Malaysia who studied and stays in NZ( one of them is also my age but she graduated from Uni ALREADY!)... eh~ I think there's one from China and another guy ( Chinese or mixed blood) who is a doctor in New Zealand( I think).. hehe~ 2 weeks are not enough to get to know everyone, you know. Hehe~ Not forgetting our lovable tutors, one of which is a maori( he has big eyes that are slightly blue) and another whom I think is Kiwi. Oopz~~~ Not really sure. Oh ya, there was this caucasian guy who is very tall and quite handsome.... but i dun dare take his photo to show you all... after all, sisters are not supposed to get too close to brothers^^. Hehheh~ I saw some korean gals who are quite pretty also. Hmmm.... too bad I dun have photos of everyone>.<.
Ok~ that's all the reporting for today!
