Reviewing my week
Friday, August 25, 2006

Monday: Late for 15minutes for Biochemistry class again. This time it's the 198 that's late, and that led to me having to queue the long and hard way, for the 179 bus. Man.... This sucks, I woke up earlier some more. Cheated of my feelings at the Canteen A Yong Tau Foo stall.... So little, tell me to eat what? Even Yanling also pissed by that stall's system.
Then after school joined Amore with Xiling.
Tues: Can't really remember but I think I was rushing my portion of the Virology report. Darn, it's quite hard to cut down on all that data, but then, more data better than no data to contribute right?
Wed: Couch potato day and yes, I was trying hard to figure out how my portion should go.
Thurs: Union day. Lesson till 1030. Was late for Immunology class( coz Mum wants me to help her with her laundry), but so was the lecturer. In the end, the lecture started soon after I arrived. Queuing up for goodie bag on that day too, but was informed that you need coupons ( given out a few days ago..) to get the bag. I was thinking: WHAT THE F***? Now they give coupons and boy, why wasn't an email sent on this minor details. Luckily not stupid enough to run like hell to that area. Nowadays I think I may really swear like Sarah. Haha, no offence. Sometimes, swearing is good but erm not in front of that Tutor (totally buay tahan the tutor trying to be authoritarian and all). Viro group work and compilation of data. Went to JP and jalan jalan with Mitchell. Hee... I was window shopping. Guess I really don't have to shop for at least a year. Is that why I am joining Amore? Coz no shopping.
Fri: Today, still think my portion of the report got problem... and sat 2hrs trying to link the whole portion up, and yes, the references. Next, Immunology report. F***! I still got 2 more assignments to start on. Stupid piece of sh**! People go all yeah and happy coz weekend coming while I'm stuck in school with report. Buay tahan the papers and left at 4 plus, with Sarah. Then, you know what? The freaking Bus 179 was so darn packed that about 6-7 buses zoomed past us! Sarah began swearing again, and I was quite tempted to scream: " WTF! Stupid A**holes. Why build so many schools and take in so many students but not improve the transportation services and frequencies. F***!" But got two cute guys standing beside, so restrain, restrain... hahaz. good or bad? I rather go home early and do my report. F***! waited for like so long for a bus to board onto! Then I found out that I can't withdraw from my ATM coz I made a new card. F*** again. Heng suay? WTF, F*** everything. Got home and my brother was irritating me and my sister again. Why are boys so freaky irritating at his age. Grabbed myself an eggtart and my beer from the fridge and sat down for couch potato session again.
Watched TV, and my brother irritated us somemore by switching channels while we are still watching. Mind you, he switched so many channels and it wasn't even the commercial for our slot yet. Super irritated. Tomorrow going for Yoga Intro and if I'm still irritated, I should just learn kick boxing and vent my irritations onto the punching bag, not my brother. Dratz, I really hate it when Mum insists that we give in to the brat. =_=" If only I had an elder brother... =P

Then came to the fact that I am already old. F***! I thought I saw wrinkles under my eyes this morning and I was so startled. Must control anger and relax... yea, yoga tomorrow

Well, it's quite sad that such things occur in the world. Some are forced while others submit into it due to poverty.

to do or not to do
Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Well, as you know that I came back broke from all the shopping in HK, I still have the audacity to think of buying a laptop. Well, you will never know if you need one anyway. Haha~ I was thinking, maybe I should get one since I'm already graduating soon, and I may need it for my FYP or something. But come to think of it, I really feel that my desktop is still th best.... Haha~ But the laptop is still a good option, you know.
Not sure whether it is worth investing in a iMac, but you would never know right?

more to trash out on school~
Saturday, August 12, 2006

Yep... more trashing.... I read my school mate's blog and yep, everyone is complaining about the kaisuism of our faculty people...: mon email about the registration of presentations and essays, tues morning before the lecture:70% filled up. And there I was wondering whether I should fill in on Friday. Luckily Xiling told me to hurry up. There wasn't much of a choice anywayz, because the ones that I considered to take are already filled up. Complaining? Nah, change my perception. Take another one then, work my butt off and show results. That would be challenging, I love challenges( but I may nag through everything).
Here I would like to give a pledge in honour of our faculty.<--- for humour only...haha...

We the students of SBS,
Pledge ourselves to be kiasu,
regardless of nationality, race, language or religion,
to fight with each other to get the allocated slots,
in terms of speed to the General Office,
In order to achieve A*s and more merit in our study.

Muahahaha.... it's true... all kiasu, or becoz i am slack? Nah... All kiasu... mon--> tues action. Wow...

Next, topic... Anger management.
As you can see, I bet more people will throw their tantrum this semester. Guru Forecast for the semester: Conflicts in presentation groups, stress levels will rise and more cat fights would occur as the tension rises in order to hand in presenations. Never seen before footages, and yes, Mr. Trump would fire one of you everyweek.
Stay tuned to:

I still wish I have a bigger house--- school starts off with a bang

Well, what would that mean? Of course, that would mean that I would be richer. Haha... Need more space so as to place my stuff. And also I wish I have more bathrooms, then no need to fight for toilet early in the morning. One heater down, so we have to use the other toilet, which I really hate... I don't like to bathe in that bathroom. It is kinda messy. Not to mention very damp and dark. Eww...
Ok, then came the news that I can't take my psycho module this semester. Well... at first my friend and I were so pissed. Then, I sent a email proposing to finish both modules next semester. And the department had better have modules that does not require Hp102 as a pre-requisite, otherwise, I can say sayonara to my minor. This really sucks. Hp102 always clashes with my core module's timetable and they don't even offer it during intersem, which makes me even more upset. It's always only Hp101 during the intersem.
Crossing my fingers and praying hard that we can work it out next semester.
Now I wonder if I am having problems with motivation. As you would have guessed, research papers aren't really my cup of tea. But I really have to break through all these barriers.
*Research papers fall from the sky and hits Jo on the head*
*OUCH!*
haha, friends, beware, I may just use the research papers to whack anyone who pisses me off. HAhahahaha...
And yes, I fell asleep 99% of the time at the virology lecture on thurs. Believe me, Julien has a hypnotising effect. I'm looking forward to Curt Alexander Davey (CAD<-- he signs off as CAD, *eyeballs roll*)'s lectures. He's quite amusing, trying to amuse us with his cold jokes. But he's cute. Haha~ And I really mean cute, but not until the point of gorgeous though.

I wish I have a bigger house!
Tuesday, August 08, 2006

I wish that I have a bigger house such that I won't be so messed up trying to find my stuff... too much stuff and too little space. Dratz!
Growing up means settling more bills.. hmm.. the older you get the more bills you have to handle and more money is involved. Think about this, hp bill, internet bill, insurance bill, house loans, investments, spa, gym membership... blah blah blah~ Haha... Sometimes I hate to be above 21 years of age...

Today is Laundry Day!
Thursday, August 03, 2006

Wash Wash Wash!
My bedsheets and my clothes!
The washing machine is tumbling,
while my stomach is rumbling.
Hungry.
=P

Well, I've got too many clothes to wash. Think today I would be a housewife for a day. Lol~ Anywayz... the last post still gets me a little worried. However, I've tried to reason again all the possibilities. Maybe the mail was too huge for my NTU mail. =) That's why the mail can't get through. Another reason maybe that the uncles still haven't sent them yet as they were busy. Heh...
Goes back to washing of clothes*

This email gets me worried, somehow.
Wednesday, August 02, 2006

Last month, my friend and I got photographed by some uncles in HK. We asked him to help us take a photo using our camera, but then he insisted that our camera was too simple and the shots are not that nice, and used his professional camera instead. So the following mail got us worried.. since they have not sent us the pics through email yet. But the uncles seem nice, not the sort that would use that particular lens for shots, I guess. One was frowning when taking the pics.
Abstract:
Hi lady friends,
The next time when you see astranger using a Digital Video Cam or Digital Camera pointing at you, don't think you are pretty and gorgeous. You are in danger in fact!! You might land yourself as a "starring" or "porn actress" in the XXX web-sites showing your naked body all over the world unawared. There are many pervert people doing this currently. Don't think they are just tourists or reporters. Please be awakened and alert when you are doing shopping in Big Malls, Airports, LRT Stations, Cinemas, Beaches, Hotels so forth..!!!!
Nowadays, technology in using high-tech cameras fixed with a type of lens called PF LENS, which can see through clothings. The PF LENS is able to see through most types of clothes, for example, thin clothes, tight clothes, sun dresses, swimsuits and so forth. Be awared that this means that the person taking a snap on you can actually see your naked body both "upper & underpart" through the external garment.
In other words, the PF Lens allows the camera man to "see through" someone's clothes.

My Research online:
http://www.hoax-slayer.com/see-thru-lens.html
PF Lens - See Through Clothing Camera WarningSummary:Email forward warns that unscrupulous photographers are using specialized camera lenses to capture images of women's bodies through their clothing and posting the resulting "nude" pictures on websites.Status:Plausible, but threat is probably exaggerated

http://www.hoax-slayer.com/issue58.html
...While technically possible under certain conditions, I have so far found no evidence to suggest that the invasive practice described in this rather alarmist email is as common as implied. Although such tactics are possible, I feel that the email exaggerates the potential threat. Even with the specialist lenses, I doubt that capturing a usable "nude" image would be as simple as taking random snapshots of passers-by. For shots to be "effective" potential victims would most probably need to be already wearing sheer or skimpy attire (not us!) and be more or less posing(erm, oopz) for the camera. However, given the very rapid developments in technology that characterizes our times, more effective "see through" cameras may be just around the corner. Certainly, you should be quite wary of camera wielding strangers who seem intent on taking more than casual snapshots of your person. And of course, the unscrupulous or the perverted can misuse cameras that do not even have specialist "see through" capabilities. Mobile phone and digital cameras are becoming ubiquitous and have already been used to capture indecent images in change rooms and children's playgrounds.

Well, as you can see from the link above, i think that the only problem at hand would be wearing thin clothes and not wearing a bra inside ur clothing. Lol~ Threat as artform? So in future if you see any weird photos, please note about this info.
