Haha~ I watched X-men III: The last stand today. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." That was what the president said when mystique gave the whereabouts of magneto after he abandoned her because she had been cured of being a mutant:i.e became a normal human being. The show was rather disappointing. Where did nightcrawler poof*! off to? Or was Beast a substitute for the blue man or did they run out of blue paint? Then, why did Cyclops die without any details? He just died like that. huh? How? By kissing Jean Grey? What? But the effects were great. I like the part where Jean Grey just made almost everyone to turn into ashes... And the extra characters? Were they trying to substitute quicksilver with a girl with similar powers? Also, the show was a bit rushed, I should say. Some parts do not connect well. And not many people understand the crude jokes made by some of the characters. Still like Wolverine in the show. He's a real entertainer...haha.... The emotional parts of the show were not very well expressed too. Archangel was just for show... he only flies around. No fighting, no nothing. And where's the scarlet witch (Magento's daughter)? She is supposed to be about the same level as Jean Grey(Dark Phoenix). Haha, if there were to be a sequel, maybe she'll be the next to be featured. I've been watching the X-men cartoon ever since I was a little girl and I was wondering if there would be a time where X men would be brought to the big screens. And then, nearly 10 years later( Haha, i'm only 22 this year), the first X-men movie came into cinemas. I was amazed at how well they have portrayed the characters then. X-men United does equally well but why does this third movie disappoint me? Overall, it's a movie with a mediocre plot but really nice effects.
Watch it on a weekday where the movie tickets are cheaper.
