Recently been into this game on msn called hexic... Finally able to score near to 100k for this game. Been at it for a few days and the "hard work" finally paid off! So.. so happy =)
Now comes the "bu shuang" part or rather in english terms, the part which I hate... not regarding the game at all but at a fellow podder in my forum who doesn't like to ask nicely. I've been writing a story in the forum and this girl is trying to ask me to update my chapter when I have just finished one today. Ok, I know that she's reading my story, but please ask in a nice manner and don't act as if you are the editor and I'm your journalist or something.. Please ask nicely. I'm not being paid here and I prefer to write my stories when I have the mood and thoughts to do so.
Convocation is coming really soon. This also means that my commencement of duties draws near. Friends are working now and they probably have received their salary. Being in an elitism society, I just find it hard to accept things. Someone can work as a carpenter in the US and be paid $20/hr and supermarket assistants in Australia can be paid at $16/hr. Look at Lion city.. I get a miserly $6 or $7 per hour for a temporary job. Wow... Differences between countries. No wonder Nike and other big shots are flooding to developing countries for labourers. Lion city has already shown traits of a greying population and a high standard of living, traits characteristic of developed countries.
As the standard of living increases, the demand for luxury goods and fantasy weddings increases. How freaking expensive marriage is in lion city.. While some take on the expensive packages, others go to our neighbour for help. My friend even suggested Hainan Island for photoshoots. =_=" So darn far and I know my SO is definitely not interested. Recently we have been deciding on a venue for ROM. Cheaper venues are: YumCha and Celestial Bliss. The price is attractive but not very sure of the place. Whatever... Anyway, other choices... irregardless of prices are
1) Goodwood park hotel, EXPENSIVE,Buffet... DREAM come true.
2)Peony Jade.. Chinese cusine, restaurant, non-buffet... ambience is nice... maybe around budget
3) My secret garden... cool place. Not sure of pricing.. Not sure if his grandma is coming, if she is, I think better call this one off coz it's WESTERN cuisine.
4) Amara hotel... reviews said that it's very hot outside, but heard alot of gd reviews about it.
5) Acte D'amour.... BAD reviews, afforadable, place looks nice in photos but buffet not private, shared with other couples' guests if they are also solemnizing on that day... o.O

I told him I wanted garden style yesterday and I think he's compromising with the costs because garden affairs are always higher priced. =_="
And this is just ROM only.... wait till we get to the banquet part next year. Not even sure if we have enough resources to have the banquet next year...
Ok, back to ROM.. yesterday went to his place to discuss about guestlist. Ended up striking some people off the list. OMG!!! Haha.. but anyway, ROM supposed to be for close friends and family. But honestly speaking, ROM is expensive, so we had a tough time deciding who to strike off the list. So friends who are not invited to our ROM, don't be upset. Please understand that both of us just started working and don't have the means to invite the whole bunch of you. =)
