Depressed

My sis-in-law, who is 21 years old, has been in the ICU for almost two weeks. That sort of got me depressed when I see her. Her lungs have difficulty functioning and she requires a breathing aid to pump in oxygen. She can't eat so they put tubes into her body to give her nutrients.
Last week was terrible. She was in the ICU and no one knew whether she will pull through. Luckily she has pulled through this week and regained strength in her arms. Her breathing aid, which was then inserted into the mouth and down the throat, has now been replaced with another aid which is inserted into an opening into her throat. Needless to say, even you will feel that it is awful to have these things inserted into your body and lie on bed unable to move your legs at all. She has sensations in her legs but no strength to lift them.
I'm glad that she is showing signs of recovery. A relative of hers actually insisted that my mother-in-law seek help from a medium. Furthermore, this relative actually thinks she is right based on the experiences of other people. How can we base our beliefs on just hearsay?
I was really pissed off by her attitude and the way she behaves although I understand that she cares for my sis-in-law, but to actually pester my mother-in-law to visit the medium even when my mother-in-law was against the idea? -_-
Anyway, I will keep praying for my sis-in-law. May God help her and bless our family too.
